Sprinkler System Spring Activation

This service is normally done after the second week in March. This timing allows the winter freeze to pass.

Step 1: We will find the main sprinkler shut-off valve and turn on the water to the system.

Step 2: We will locate your anti-siphon valve and slowly activate the system by turning on each valve.

Step 3: We will check the anti-siphon and ball valves for leaks.

Step 4: We will activate each zone in the system, check each sprinkler head for proper operation, and make adjustments when needed.

Step 5: We will fix or replace any damaged components and bill separately for component replacements.

Step 6: We will recheck the system for leaks.

Step 7: We will check the irrigation controller for the correct time and date and adjust the system when needed.

Sprinkler System Winterization

This service is normally done before the winter freeze begins or when the lawn goes dormant. In Central Texas, this is normally done during the first two weeks of November.

Step 1: We will shut off the valve providing water to the sprinkler system.

Step 2: We will run each zone for one minute to allow the water to drain from the line.

Step 3: We will shut off the two valves to the anti-siphon valve.

Step 4: We will remove the lowest sprinkler head in each zone and use suction to remove any remaining water from each zone. We will re-install the sprinkler head.

Step 5: We will set the controller to "off" mode to ensure that the date, time, and zone settings are not lost.

Lawn Fertilization

Our lawn fertilization service begins with a solid sample test. The test will provide soil parameters, including pH, ammonia, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. This test will also show us what bugs or grubs are present in the yard. With this information, we will recommend a fertilizer or insecticide product that matches the needs of the lawn. The client is responsible for purchasing the fertilizer products. When this is not possible, we can purchase the products, but an additional charge will be added for the time and travel. We will apply the required products to the lawn using a broadcast spreader and water the fertilizer in using the client's water.

Service Charge $40 - $75 depending on the size of the yard

Lawn Aeration

Aeration creates holes in the soil to alleviate soil compaction. This allows air, water, and nutrients to reach the grass roots. When deprived of their basic needs by compacted soil, lawn grasses struggle in stressful situations, such as heat and low rainfall, and lose their healthy, rich color.

Aeration is normally done when the ground is moist so watering the lawn is required the day before the service is set up. Aeration is also normally done before applying fertilizer or insecticides.

We use a tow behind, plug aerator. It will attach to the rear of one of our zero-turn mowers and is towed across the yard. The plugs are left on the lawn and will break down over a period of about a week.

Service Charge: $40 - or more depending on the size of the yard.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Ms. Emily Johnson

We were one of Mr. Dugger's first customers. He has serviced our lawn for four years now.  He and his son are awsome. They are always ontime and they comuicate very well. Our lawn is always the best on my block! Mr. Dugger fixed our sprinklers that were spraying in the street for years.  He is so nice and a great father. Tavian went to school with my oldest son. Byron Jr. has taken over and is doing great!

Mr. Frank Austin

Mr. Dugger has done a great job with his son. His son Tavian is a hard working young man. They are always on time and I tip him everytime. My lawn was never green before, but he took the time to educate me on how to care for my lawn properly. It is LUSH now!  Byron Jr. is a hard working young man. He is also very professional and will sonn be as fast as his brother.  They do a great job!

Ms. Julia Cornwall

Mr. Dugger is the most pleasant man I know. Our last two lawncare people were rude and only wanted more money.  I watched him do my neighbor's lawn twice and I had to ask him to do mine. He takes his time and it always look AWSOME!  It's been three years now and our lawn is always beautiful and green. Since he started our yard, he does both houses to my right and the three houses across the street.  They communicate very well. and are always on time.
